We take pride in the fact that we bring into the world the best custom trailer money can buy. Using high grade aluminum and stainless steel allows us to build trailers that possess maximum strength with minimum tow weight. It would be easier and more profitable to use lesser grade materials, but in the end it would not be a Gold Rush trailer. Making sure that each part of the trailer, no matter how insignificant, is of the highest quality possible, we create a trailer that is more than just the sum of its parts. We create the Gold Rush trailer.
Gold Rush builds tag-a-long, fifth wheel, and semi-trailers for purposes such as race car haulers, concession trailers, specialty haulers, custom cargo haulers, motorcycle trailers, and specialty boat trailers. If you can dream it, Gold Rush can build it.
Gold Rush was founded in 1975 by Bill Schlott, a former drag racer and engineer. The first enclosed trailer was built in Bill’s garage in response to the need for a protected trailer for his dragster, “Gold Rush,” so named for the obvious reference to speed and quality, but also because Bill had always had an interest in the California Gold Rush.
Driven by his foresight and with trailer designs and engineering plans in his head, Bill pressed ahead with the production of enclosed aluminum trailers. The business gradually outgrew 2, 3 and 4 bay garages as word of mouth advertising fueled production for an expanding customer base, which eventually included racers of dragsters, motorcycles, and powerboats. As always, the emphasis was on innovation and quality. Gold Rush became a well-known name in the industry.
